European Council of Presidents

The European Council was built on the fruitful and longstanding spirit of friendship and unique bonds that exist between individual HU Associations in Europe and their cross-border relationships. It aims to strengthen this unique and distinct asset and considers it a necessary attribute for success in the European activities being carried out in favor of Hebrew University.

The structure of the European Council consolidates ongoing cooperation, partnerships and dialogue between all parties, in Europe and Jerusalem. It also aims to aid in developing a shared vision and joint strategies to advance and strengthen common aims and goals, and to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations. The Presidency of the European Council of Presidents is held on a rotating basis between the member associations that are members of the Executive Committee of the European Council of Presidents for a period of three years.

Gültin Ephrati, President of the Swiss Friends Association and Antoinette Grossman, President of the Belgian Friends Association, were elected in 2016 as the Co-Presidents of the European Council and co-preside it together with the Director for Europe, Tali Dowek.
